Grand Lake Municiple code bans conceal carry?
#1
Hello, I'm a frequent tourist to your state (with a reciprocal LTC) and I noticed this on Grand Lake's  municipal code:
Quote:
  1. 7-2-7  Carrying Concealed Weapons; Forfeiture of Concealed Weapons
    (A) It shall be unlawful for any person to wear under his clothes, or concealed about his person, or to display in a threatening manner, any dangerous or deadly weapon including, but not by way of limitation, any pistol, revolver, sling shot, cross-knuckles, or knuckles of lead, brass, or other metal, or any bowie knife, dirk, dagger, or any knife resembling a bowie knife, or any similar dangerous or deadly weapon.
    (B) It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, company or association to sell, offer to sell, display, use, possess, or carry any knife or knives having the appearance of a pocket knife, the blade or blades of which can be opened by a flick of a button, pressure on the handle, or other mechanical contrivance. Any such knife is hereby declared to be a dangerous or deadly weapon within the meaning of (a) above, and shall be subject to forfeiture to the Town of Grand Lake as provided in section © below.
© Every person convicted of any violation of this section shall forfeit to the Town of Grand Lake such dangerous or deadly weapon so concealed or displayed, as the same is contraband.
    (D) Nothing in this section shall be construed to forbid United States Marshal1s, sheriffs, constables and their deputies, and any regular, special, or ex-officio police officer, or any other law enforcement officer from carrying or wearing, while on duty, such weapons as shall be necessary in the proper discharge of their duties.

Surely this can't be an enforceable law?

No it isn't. Conceal carry laws preempt this ordinance. If our state honors your license then you can carry concealed.

Also, open carry is legal in Colorado without a permit to carry (except for Denver city/county)
