active duty / magazine ban
Hey I'm new to this forum and I'm just trying to figure out a question. I've been looking but I haven't been able to see anything that points me in one way or another. I understand that you aren't lawyers But maybe someone here can help me out. I'm active duty military looking at potentially pcs'ing to Colorado, with the "high" capacity (standard) mag ban hypothetically if I had magazines I purchased after the deadline is there a provision that covers active duty moving into the state or would I hypothetically be screwed? Thank you for helping a guy out
To my knowledge, there has been no statement, case, or provision that account for moving here or for military of any sort. The law (C.R.S. 18-12-302 (2)(a)(I)) simply states that they are permitted only if owned prior to July 1st, 2013 and continuous possession had been maintained.
