We have several stones at work for deburing metal, I just use those.
I have a Lanskey sharpener at home that works well,I just never use it .

I use the Spyderco sometimes but it takes a lot of strokes to get the right angle. I'm going back to whetstones, especially two sided coarse/fine.

The diamond rods or those new carbide(sp?) rods make reprofiling a lot less hassle.  With those medium rods it can take forever. Can never go wrong with the whetstones either.

I've got the Spyderco with the white and brown ceramic rods. I'm getting an edge that cuts great with the whetstone now, and it's paid for.

I own a whetstone but I plan on replacing it with something better.
