gooseneck hitches
#1
Has anyone had a gooseneck or 5th wheel hitch installed? Do you like what you went with? If not, what do you recommend? Is there an installation company you recommend?

If you are installing one on a modern truck(10 yo or less) you should be able to buy one specifically for it.

They are not terrible to install, but the ones i installed were at the dealership so I had a lift, but I would install one one the ground if I had to.

The only "special" tool I can think of would be a large hole saw 3.5 or 4 inch depending on the manufacture.

We bought from Rigid Hitch

I've been looking at B & W Hitches. My truck is a 2008 Ram MegaCab so I need to go with a sliding hitch. This is for sure not going to be cheap.

If sliding hitch means the type similar to the ones on semi tractors , you are on your own.

I have only installed the light duty ball type.

I have never priced one but they sure look expensive.

Yep. It's looking like it's going to be around 2K.
